The Closing date for entry is 16th May 2008. The first round of judging will then take place and all entrants will be notified of results by 27th May.
Once the judges have compiled a shortlist of winners, we may then request models, prototypes or more detailed plans to be sent in to us.
Final results will be revealed on 6 June 2008, and the awards will be presented on 18 June 2008.
If you have any questions about your entry, please drop us an email: schools@designshowliverpool.com
The Designers of the Future competition is open to all Key Stage 4 Design & Technology students.
The aim is to showcase the work of Merseyside students at the show itself, inspire their creativity and help develop their ideas about design and craftsmanship.
Most GCSE Design & Technology syllabuses already require students to develop a working model or detailed plans of a product. These designs or models can be entered into the competition or, if preferred, new items can be entered. Entries may be complete prototypes, drawings or just clearly-expressed ideas. It is not necessary to have a final, finished product to enter the competition.
We are looking to receive entries from a wide range of schools and students, and have tried to make the entry process as simple as possible.

School groups are welcomed at the show: we can offer free entry and special demonstrations to inspire your class – contact us for details.
Please remember, we are not necessarily looking for final finished products from your pupils – prizes will be awarded for great ideas, whatever their stage of development may be.
