Elena Teplitskaya, a designer, a decorator and a presenter of the TV show «Colour Revolution», started her career as a painter. Swiss painters were the first to discover her talent for colors. They saw there was no black color in her palette and urged her to proceed with studying in Europe. Her work was shown at a number of European design and art exhibitions.
Her most recent passion is the painting performance Jam Painting. It is a live improvisation of two painters and musicians on either a fixed or a free theme in front of an audience. The painters are performing in turns, painting on the same piece of canvas. They are working in a jazz question-answer format. Each of them provokes a reply from the other. The musicians are also involved in the dialog. Watching the painters they are improvising on the theme of the painting and in their turn influence its development. Teplitskaya is convinced that architecture, painting and fashion follow the same rules and trends.
