Graduated 1991 - ma rca - and set up studio workshop in 1994 with Crafts Council Setting Up Grant and Prince’s Trust loan.
From her studio workshop (nestled in The Chilterns, Buckinghamshire), Suzanne intuitively designs & skilfully produces by hand - rhythmic daisy chains, graphic statement brooches, sculptural rings, and elegant, stylish earrings etc. Each explore universally found, formulaic 2 & 3D geometric structures - shape / form / pattern / proportion.
Suzanne’s jewellery celebrates childhood memories & games, her cherished garden, and the 5 Senses. Each inspirational source provoke enquiry / discovery, resulting in bodies of work which reflect the personal voice of the maker, and illustrate contemporary style jewellery - modern and decorative.
Materials : FLORAL ranges - predominantly precious metals. Mixed media : FELT FANCIES & FELT GEMS ranges - amalgam of metal & felt / paint / wood / stainless steel wire. Also CORIAN.
Sold & exhibited in galleries, craft / trade fairs around UK. Also Ireland, Germany, Belgium, USA.
