Greeting Card designer Anisha Tailor is launching her cards at Design Show Liverpool for the first time.

The decision to launch her cards at Design Show Liverpool was chosen as her cards have a story behind each design which relate to the Indian culture, and with Liverpool being the Capital of Culture she thought it was a great place to introduce her cards.Trading under the name of ‘Tailor Made Design’ her cards are hand embellished and inspired by Indian decoration and architectual design, from the repetition seen in the ornamentation of newsprint, henna patterns, paisleys and decorative artifacts. The cards Anisha designs are decorated through drawn lines and embellishments to produce intricate patterns. Original design ideas are made up of pattern, inspired from her recent trip to India. Colour inspirations towards the designs are taken from traditional Indian dresses known as ‘Chanya Chori‘s’.

Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Textile Design, Anisha has won a “MMU Alumni Award 2007” which has made her to achieve her dream of running her own creative business. The skills have given her the opportunity to broaden her academic, cultural and social horizons bringing to you Tailor Made Design.
