Studio 10 Katy Mellor

Katy is a designer maker producing knitted accessories. She is inspired by her environment, looking at beautiful found textures and colours and by artists such as Michael Raedecker, and Morandi. These themes are translated through the yarns and colour combinations selected. Embellishments are added to the knitting, creating individual pieces. Products are knitted using high quality natural yarns such as lambs wool and cashmere, that are sustainable and locally sourced. Pieces are all finished by hand.
Her work is on display as part of the North West creative project at Urbis,
Manchester.
