Ruth Ball
Designer Enameller RUTH BALL utilises the fusion of glass on metal to produce a diverse collection of products, ranging in scale from contemporary jewellery & small objects, through to wall based art works. Her inspiration for the Liverpool Design Show 2008 is a new collection called “City “ which will feature a prominent display of panels and complimentary jewellery pieces.
As a student, at Middlesex University, Ruth won prizes in the RSA Bursary Competition and The Platinum Awards in her final year. Today as a member of Merseyside Jewellers and Metal Artist Network and The British Society of Enamellers she exhibits her work regularly in national and international exhibitions.
Keen to share her knowledge of enamel Ruth has recently published a book “JH Enamelling” with A&C Black. Additionally, her educational work also features in a display at The Walker Gallery, Liverpool.
