I design and make Metal Wall Panels for domestic and corporate interior settings. The Metal surfaces are Acid-Etched with patterns inspired by both the built environment and the landscape. Surfaces combine a range of metallic colours from silver to gold and copper, achieved with variety of finishing techniques.
A commissioning service is available to interior designers, architects and private clients to create a piece to suit any space, using a modular network of panels of different shapes and sizes. I also work on site-specific projects, in which the artwork etched onto the metal relates to a building or a specific theme.
I moved to Liverpool in 2003 as a recipient of the Crafts Council ‘Next Move’ scheme award, which placed me as an Artist-in- residence within the metal work department at Liverpool Hope University. I fell in love with the city, in particular the people and the architecture, and in 2005 set up my own metalwork studio at ‘The Bridewell Studios’, a police station built in the early 1800’s, which was bought by a group of Artists in the 1970’s.
In 2006 I received the Crafts Council Development Award, which helped fund equipment for the studio.
In 2006, I begun exhibiting in the US, and am represented by a gallery in California, who display my work at major US shows like SOFA Chicago and New York, and Palm Beach 3, each year.
On the stand at the Liverpool Design show, will be pieces specifically inspired by Liverpool’s architecture.
