Mark Finzel
Mark Finzel is an award-winning contemporary surface designer who creates highly distinctive designs for textiles, wallpapers and screens. Using his own photography, Finzel abstracts images from nature to create exquisite patterns that are bold, subtle and elegant.
Recent work includes a collaboration with LINLEY - Glass Bull Flow fabric being teamed with their ‘Classic’ dining chairs. This highly popular range featured in the front showroom at LINLEY Mayfair. At renowned contemporary Punjabi restaurant, Mantra, patrons dine in the atmospheric surrounds of his Impressionist Spheres wallpaper.
Finzel won ‘Best Contemporary Design’ in the Formica ‘Design A Laminate Competition’ and was presented with the ‘Best New Designer Award’ by Sir Terence Conran at the London Interiors Show 2005. Conran describes Finzel as ‘a name to watch.’
As well as exhibiting his existing range, Finzel will be launching new fabric designs Fluvial Shell and Luminance Two and the Symmetry Chair (pictured) at the show.
