Katie Adams Ceramics


Katie is a designer-maker in clay working from her studio at Cockpit Arts in Holborn London. She makes designer tableware in white stoneware clay throwing pots with subtle lines then drawing into the surface to express a simple narrative, the city skyline.

Katie loves to throw and draw, for her combining the two is bliss.

As a lover of architecture, Katie takes inspiration from the cityscape around her in London. This is where her current style emerged in an epiphany moment three years ago atop a roof garden in south London.

Last year Katie was asked by the Bluecoat Display Centre in Liverpool to create a Liverpool Skyline Range for the city’s 800th birthday and for the city’s festivities as this year’s European Capital of Culture.

The celebration of Liverpool’s favourite buildings is what Katie brings to the Liverpool Design Show on her charmingly illustrated exquisitely thrown tableware in her signature spring green glaze.
