Claire Troughton has been designing and making contemporary handmade jewellery for nearly twelve years. Her work is dedicated to capturing the elegance of natural forms and re-creating them as wearable jewellery.
She studied at Edinburgh College of Art for three years, gaining a BA (hons) in Design, specialising in Jewellery and Glass. Since establishing her business in 1996 her work has been commended by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, won a platinum design award and attracted an invite to 10 Downing Street to meet the then Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie.
What’s New? Design Show Liverpool will see the launch of 3 stunning new collections for 2008. This will be the first chance for the public to view the ‘Forget-me-not’, ‘Daisy’ and ‘Dandelion’ collections in their entirety. These beautiful pieces combine stunning designs in silver with accents of luscious gold and mouth-watering gemstones. Of course Claire’s ever-popular ‘Leaf’ collection will also be on show.
